To raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease, Colly Boss Freda will be doing a sponsored Ice Bucket Challenge on Saturday 30 August during the half time interval of the Newcastle match.
As Freda explained on her Facebook Page:
Hey everyone. This ice bucket challenge going round has been funny. Here at the Colly we have an actual connection to this terrible Motor Neurone disease. You all knew Michaela Smith my lovely assistant who went traveling the world. Her grandfather Tom passed away on 4th August this year. We would like to raise awareness and more importantly money for this worthy cause. I will take the sponsored challenge at half time during the Palace game on Saturday 30th August. Please donate generously at The Colly before this time. I'm sure there will be many who would pay to see me swilled in ice water!!!
So please pop into The Colly and put a donation behind the bar to sponsor Freda's ice cold drenching and if you are around on Saturday afternoon drop down to view the event live.
We've already had some practice runs, here's a selection.
