On a dreek and freezing cold January night a small but cosy 21 quizzers making up six Teams turned out for Quiz 152 and took our Cash Prize to £34.

It was an entertaining evening with That Was A Ridiculous Clue Graham and Je Suis Cheeky Charlie challenging for top spot throughout. That Was A Ridiculous Clue Graham went on to win courtesy of a tremendous Sports Round score where they leapfrogged the challengers Je Suis Cheeky Charlie and never looked back. Winning team member Phil 'The Power' Mac pulled the Cash but the team declined to take the prize and generously donated it back into the pot so with a rollover of £34 and a good turnout we could be playing for a near £70 Cash Prize at Quiz 153.

The Quiz starts at 9.00pm with a Picture Round* (The clue this week is "Let's have a detailed look at brands on the cutting edge"). Following the pics we then have four themed rounds of General Knowledge, Music, Sport and Film and TV with a five minute break for free snacks and topping up drinks after round two.

The winners of the nights Quiz choose from three envelopes that contain either the cash prize, food vouchers or a case of drinks. If the cash isn't drawn it rolls over to the next weeks Quiz, the biggest cash prize to date is £317 won by  Hand Over The Cash Michaela 25/03/13 in Quiz 63.

After the main Quiz we have a Wild Card Question which anyone in the bar can join in for a quid (or if you want two goes it's £2, three £3 etc). It's one obscure question where we are looking for a number or date and the nearest to the actual answer gets the whole pot of money taken on the night for the Wild Card. Quiz 152 had a £18 Cash Prize and this week there were again just a couple of people that were close to the answer to a Ken Dodd related question but it was The Academy team member Scoop who triumphed. Scoop's team didn't even enter the Quiz this week as "they were leaving early" but they enjoyed the Questions that much they stayed to the end (and could have managed a decent score if they had played!). Still it was a worthwhile exercise for Scoop who walked off £18 up. The biggest winner to date is Jonathan B who scooped a massive £47 in Quiz 55.

Come on down and join us for The Colly Quiz, it's always an entertaining night out and as Scoop found it can result in a nice little cash bonus!
