We had 26 quizzers turning out in seven Teams for Quiz 153 which took our Cash Prize to £60.

It was an exciting evening with For Ever And Ever… At Least Until This Morning!, The Hasty Puddings and John Carver And The Idiots fighting for top spot throughout. John Carver And The Idiotswere leading by two points going into the final round but crumbled allowing For Ever And Ever… At Least Until This Morning! to leapfrog them and win the Quiz. The winners drew the beers so we have a rollover of £60 going into Quiz 154 and with good turnout we could be playing for a £90 Cash Prize!

The Quiz starts at 9.00pm with a Picture Round* (The clue this week is "I'll wager you can't guess who these ads are for!"). Following the pics we then have four themed rounds of General Knowledge, Music, Sport and Film and TV with a five minute break for free snacks and topping up drinks after round two.

The winners of the nights Quiz choose from three envelopes that contain either the cash prize, food vouchers or a case of drinks. If the cash isn't drawn it rolls over to the next weeks Quiz, the biggest cash prize to date is £317 won by  Hand Over The Cash Michaela 25/03/13 in Quiz 63.

After the Quiz we have a Wild Card Question which anyone in the bar can join in for a quid (or if you want two goes it's £2, three £3 etc). It's one obscure question where we are looking for a number or date and the nearest to the actual answer gets the whole pot of money taken on the night for the Wild Card. Quiz 153 had a £21 Cash Prize and this week there were two people close to the answer to a Tube related Question, David H and his Team mate Fat Greek In A Shroud (otherwise known to us all as Richard), who both managed to put the same answer! This meant a Dart Off to end the night from which Richard emerged victorious and walked away £21 better off. The biggest winner to date is Jonathan B who scooped a massive £47 in Quiz 55.

Come on down and join us for The Colly Quiz, it's always an entertaining night out and as Richard found, it can result in a nice little cash bonus!
