We had a canny turnout of 35 for Quiz 164 which lifted the Cash Prize on offer up to a reasonable £75.

There were seven teams involved and by the final round we had a four horse race. Outsiders were Wot’s Nosh? on 28 then we had three teams within two points of each other, The Hasty Puddings on 32, Richie Benaud’s Ashes with 33 and Jim Fixed My Itchy Cervix in the lead at 34.

Richie Benaud’s Ashes smashed the Film & TV round with a ten to win Quiz 164 but team member Will drew the Food Vouchers. This means we have a decent £75 rollover for Quiz 165 so a good turnout on Monday should give us at least £100 to play for.

The Quiz starts at 9.00pm with a Picture Round* (The clue this week is visual, see the picture below). Following the pics we then have four themed rounds of General Knowledge, Music, Sport and Film and TV with a five minute break for the free snacks and topping up drinks after round two.

The winners of the nights Quiz choose from three envelopes that contain either the cash prize, food vouchers or a case of drinks. If the cash isn't drawn it rolls over to the next weeks Quiz, the biggest cash prize to date is £317 won by Hand Over The Cash Michaela 25/03/13 in Quiz 63.

After the Quiz we have a Wild Card Question which anyone in the bar can join in for a quid (or if you want two goes it's £2, three £3 etc). It's one obscure question where we are looking for a number or date and the nearest to the actual answer gets the whole pot of money taken on the night. We had a £27 Wild Card Prize in Quiz 164 and an unbelievable five people put the same winning answer so it was a mass Dart Off! Our joint winners, Hodge, George, B Rankin, Rob Munter and Will had one dart each and highest number got the prize. After a second Dart Off (Hodge and Will both through 18!) Will eventually emerged victorious and walked away very happy with his £27 Cash. The biggest Wild Card Winner to date is Andy who scooped a massive £48 in Quiz 158.

Come on down and join us for The Colly Quiz, it's always an entertaining night out and if you're lucky you could win some decent cash too.
