We had a small but entertaining crowd of 20 involved in Quiz 166 which took the Cash Prize on offer up to a small but perfectly formed £30.

There were six teams competing and it turned out to be a very tight Quiz throughout. By the final round we had three teams vying for the top spot. Nepalese Builders Convention on 28 were now a nose in front of Rancid Ferrets On Vibes on 27 and then we had the Hasty Puddings on 26 but again it was the front runners who just held on in the final round to win the nights Quiz by just one point.

Team member Richard drew the Food Vouchers and was given a rousing round of applause by everyone as that means we start Quiz 167 with a £30 rollover. A decent Bank Holiday Monday turnout and we could be playing for £60 or more.

The Quiz starts at 9.00pm with a Picture Round* (The clue this week is "This is one of five that they're close d"). Following the pics we then have four themed rounds of General Knowledge, Music, Sport and Film and TV with a five minute break for the free snacks and topping up drinks after round two.

The winners of the nights Quiz choose from three envelopes that contain either the cash prize, food vouchers or a case of drinks. If the cash isn't drawn it rolls over to the next weeks Quiz, the biggest cash prize to date is £317 won by Hand Over The Cash Michaela 25/03/13 in Quiz 63.

After the Quiz we have a Wild Card Question which anyone in the bar can join in for a quid (or if you want two goes it's £2, three £3 etc). It's one obscure question where we are looking for a number or date and the nearest to the actual answer gets the whole pot of money taken on the night. We had a decent £30 Wild Card Prize for Quiz 166 and there were a few guesses close but it was lucky Richard who won the cash this week. The biggest Wild Card Winner to date is Andy who scooped a massive £48 in Quiz 158.

Richard was well chuffed with his £30 Wild Card Cash Prize!

Come on down and join us for The Colly Quiz, it's always an entertaining night out and as Richard found out if you're lucky you can win some decent cash too.
