Last weeks Quiz 205 was an absolute belter, 52 Quizzers turned out taking the Cash Prize on offer to a decent £120. So this week make sure you get here early if you want a table. In fact, why not make a night of it and come down for a pre-Quiz meal... we have some delicious food on the menu including authentic Thai Curries and the finest Latin Burgers in Newcastle! Check out our menu.

The insider knowledge this week is that our resident eggheads (that win 90% of the Quizzes, boo, hiss etc) have one of their key team members back so if you want to win Quiz 206 you are going to have to be on top form.

Quiz Tip: You need to have a broad range of ages as well as knowledge in a team for The Colly Quiz. So if you are youngish try to get an older team member to join your team for the 70s and 80s questions and if you are on the wrong side of 40 try and get your kids or younger work colleagues to join you for the Music, TV and Films from the last 10 years.

It's not just about the winning though, our Quiz is always a laugh, whether it be the subject of the questions, the comments of the Teams or even the Quiz Master's inability to mark up correctly after 23 pints of Fosters... there's always a chuckle to be had. Sometimes there's only £50 or so quid to win whereas some weeks there's over £100 as a Cash Prize (we even got as high as £300 once). So there's hard cash to be won as well as a canny night out.

This week we start with a fantastic £120 rollover after the Food Vouchers were won again at Quiz 205 so with a decent turnout on the night we could be looking at a possible £160 plus Cash Prize! Well worth winning.

The Quiz starts at 9.00pm with a Picture Round* (The clue this week is "Aston Villa sobriquet on the small screen?"). Following the Pics we then have four rounds on General Knowledge, Music, Sport and Film and TV with a five minute break for the free snacks and topping up drinks after round two.

The winners of the nights Quiz choose from three envelopes that contain either the cash prize, food vouchers or a case of drinks. If the cash isn't drawn it rolls over to the next weeks Quiz, the biggest cash prize to date is £317 won by Hand Over The Cash Michaela 25/03/13 in Quiz 63.

The winners of last weeks Quiz were It’s A Bit Windy Out. Make Sure You Don’t Get Blown Away Unless It’s By Spontaneous Wrecks This Wednesday At The Bridge Hotel who started well then gradually pulled away to win the Quiz by an impressive five points from nearest rivals Spit Polished Knobs. The winning Team then pulled the envelope containing the Food Vouchers so the £120 Cash Prize rolls over to Quiz 206.

Our winners on the night It’s A Bit Windy Out. Make Sure You Don’t Get Blown Away Unless It’s By Spontaneous Wrecks This Wednesday At The Bridge Hotel, are not ones to miss a promotional opportunity!

After the Quiz we have a Wild Card Question which anyone in the bar can join in for a quid (or if you want two goes it's £2, three £3 etc). It's one obscure question where we are looking for a number or date and the nearest to the actual answer gets the whole pot of money taken for the Wild Card on the night.

We had a fab £44 Cash Prize and three bottles of CondiMania spicy sauce for Quiz 205s Wild Card. Our lucky winner was regular Quizzer Rob who's guess was way closer than anyone else on the night and gave him his second Wild Card win in the space of four weeks! Our biggest Wild Card winner to date is Mike H who scored for a massive £61 in Quiz 177!

Rob not only won a wallet enhancing £44 in the Wild Card he also got three bottles of CondiMania sauces to boot!

Come and join us for Colly Quiz 206, it's always a cracking Monday night out and as Rob will tell you, even if your Team have a bit of a mare in the Quiz it's still well worth putting a quid for the Wild Card!
